Our business model is like a Web Hosting Cooperative for folks on a shoe-string budget. Our partners are not in for profit. The members of www.jtjohnston.net wish only to maintain a small profit margin to pay for our own, small sites.
We inisist on offering an alternative to commercial sites who charge exorbitant service fees, especially for extra like email accounts, subdomains FTP, PHP or MySQL access - when they are normally, and thus should be included free with any basic Web hosting plan. We seek out organizations on a shoe-string budget and need an affordable portal unto the Internet!
Our only extra costs are bandwidth and hard drive space. If you generate more than 100 visitors per day, or 300 megs of bandwidth, we reserve the right to negotiate terms for your extra traffic. That and hard drive space are our own extra cost!
We buy yearly blocks of disk space and bandwidth. You can rent a block from us. Cooperatively, we share the cost.
Inexpensive Web Hosting? What's the deal? Simple really!
* Our annual contract of $50 becomes negotiable only when or if you have a high-traffic site that uses 300 Mb or more of monthly bandwidth or high volumes of hard drive space.
